Meet a Monster Erotica Author – Interview with Celestia Dew

greek lustOn #MonsterMonday, this blog features interviews with the people who write and publish monster erotica. Why Is Monster Erotica So Popular? Well, we know! Today’s author is Celestia Dew.

Tell me about your stories and the monsters they feature!

I started writing within Greek mythology because there was a lot of sex and violence already there to elaborate on, and the next thing I knew I was writing more and more.  I have two original stories and two based on actual Greek myth: “Leda and the Swan” and “Europa and the Bull” both of which involve Zeus turning into animals for seduction purposes, which I always thought was a little weird, but clearly I’ve run with it.

What do you like to call your category? “Monster erotica”, “beast porn”, something else?

I like “monster erotica.” I like to think there’s more flare to the stories than just straight up porn, and it IS classic literature, after all. 🙂

Why do you write and read monster erotica? What’s the appeal?

It’s fun and different. It’s bold–not just anyone can write it and do it well.

Favorite sexy beast?

Satyrs, fauns, centaurs–the creatures related to Dionysus are all terribly sexy.  Also that combination of man and beast, all hairy and feral…yeah.

What else do you write?

Everything I write is fantasy based.  I’m between projects right now, but I’ve been playing with the very interesting implications of fairy tales, specifically Jack and the Beanstalk and Red Riding Hood.

Kiss/kill/marry: Bigfoot, a Grey alien, the Loch Ness Monster

What’s the best writing advice you ever heard?

“It takes 10,000 hours to master your art.”
