Meet a Monster Erotica Author – Interview with Leigh Wilder

dc07e213c877b888462743e1cb5daecc2f17da83On #MonsterMonday, this blog features interviews with the people who write and publish monster erotica. Why Is Monster Erotica So Popular? Well, we know! Today’s author is Leigh Wilder.

Tell me about your stories and the monsters they feature!

I write primarily fantasy and paranormal romantica, but lately I’ve been very into dragons. In my first dragon story two lesbian dragon slayers have to sexually appease the beast before they can slay it–I call it “A sweet coming of age lesbian romance–with dragon cock.”  In the other one the dragon is a shapeshifter that transforms from human to beast mid-sex. It’s a lot of fun.

What do you like to call your category? “Monster erotica”, “beast porn”, something else?
I guess I write “beast romantica” though I do have an older story that is pure porn–“The Summoner and the Satyr”

Why do you write and read monster erotica? What’s the appeal?

Giant cock. (Yeah, really.)  Also, I think sometimes I want to read about rough sex, sex the character might not think she wants, and somehow it seems morally more acceptable with a non-human character.

Favorite sexy beast?

I find a lot of sexual appeal in unicorns, but I haven’t written one of those yet. One day.

What else do you write?

Lots of fantasy and paranormal. A handful of contemporary erotica, but I’m really moving away from that genre and into the fantastic.  I write a lot of M/M, but also M/F and F/F. I’m very eclectic.

Kiss/kill/marry: Bigfoot, a Grey alien, the Loch Ness Monster

Kiss: Nessie Kill: Bigfoot Marry: Grey Alien

What’s the best writing advice you ever heard?

“Don’t write what you know; write what you want to learn.”

Anything else you’d like to say?

Just thanks for having me! This was a lot of fun.
